The short but intense spell of the rain left the city grappling with waterlogging issues across major roads including Madhapur, Raheja Mind space, Begumpet, Padma Colony, Uppal etc.
The situation worsened with office goers venturing out and forced to navigate through ankle deep water across the city.
Several parts of the city also reported disruptions of electricity supply.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued orange alert for the city for Saturday and Sunday owing to high heat levels and ongoing depression near Vidarbha region.
