Hyderabad techie tosses twin kids into lake, son dies

HYDERABAD: A three-year-old boy died in Ameenpur lake after his mother threw him into the water in the early hours of Thursday.
The 33-year-old techie from Chandanagar also tossed her three-year-old daughter into the lake before she herself jumped into the lake. While police rushed to rescue the mother and daughter, the boy drowned. His body was recovered from the lake at 8 am.Both the boy and the girl are twins.
Police said the woman was having domestic issues with her husband, who is also a techie. In an effort to counsel the couple, their parents came to the city from Karimnagar. The woman’s husband returned to Karimnagar with his parents, while the woman’s parents stayed back in Chandanagar.
The woman took out her scooter in the late hours of Wednesday and went to the lake along with her children.
A case was registered under sections 302 (murder) and 307 (attempt to murder) of the IPC.
