Hyderabad: Congress on Thursday questioned former chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on why he was not presenting himself before the Justice Narasimha Reddy Commission inquiring into the alleged irregularities in the power sector during the BRS regime.
TPCC official spokesperson Bhavani Reddy said despite the govt-appointed commission sending KCR a notice, he had sought time to appear before it.
“If no wrong-doing has been committed, why is KCR seeking time to appear before the commission,” Bhavani Reddy sought to know.
She alleged that there were wrong-doings even in the purchase of plants for Haritha Haram and also in purchasing sanitary napkins given to students. On the alleged phone tapping by govt officials during the BRS rule, Bhavani Reddy said officials had said that they had instructions from the top and therefore BRS leaders would have to answer for that.
