JAIPUR: With a new timetable in place, the average speed of 227 trains will change from October. It would help passengers save around 100 minutes, said NWR officials on Friday.
According to the new timetable, there will be a change of 30 minutes or more in the arrival-departure of seven trains at the Jaipur station, 47 at Jodhpur main and Bhagat Ki Kothi stations, six at Ajmer station and 10 at Bikaner station.

“Partial changes have been made in the arrival/departure time of trains at various stations as per the new timetable applicable from October 1. Timings of 227 trains in the north-western railway is being changed along with increase in train speed as electrification work has been completed on most of the tracks. Passengers should check train timings through SMS service 139 or the website www.indianrail.gov.in or www.trainenquiry.com before starting their journey to see the change in time of other train also,” said Captain Shashi Kiran, chief PRO of NWR. tnn
