‘Adhar mein latki hui’: Akhilesh Yadav takes swipe at NDA govt
LUCKNOW: Hours before Narendra Modi was sworn in as the PM for the third consecutive term along with his new cabinet, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav questioned the very stability of the government. Without any strong foundation under it, the new government at the Centre will essentially be in “suspended animation”, said the former UP chief minister.

"Upar se koi taar nahi, neeche koi aadhar nahi. Adhar mein jo latki hui wo to koi sarkar nahi (There is nothing to hang on to at the top and no foundation at the base. A dispensation hanging in balance offers no government),” Akhilesh said in a social media post on SpaceX.
“Our party president’s assessment was on the mark. Cracks have already started surfacing in the NDA. Rumblings are getting more and more audible in Maharashtra. We hope the BJP and its allies will keep the interest of the nation first and resolve issues as quickly as possible to ensure that the government gets functional to fulfil the promises it has made in the election campaign,” said a senior SP leader. This was in apparent reference to NDA partner NCP expressing displeasure over not being offered a berth in the new Modi cabinet. They were offered MoS (independent charge), which they have declined for now.
The party also recalled PM Narendra Modi’s promise of 24-hour electricity supply with zero bill that he made in one of his election speeches. The party handle on SpaceX uploaded a video of his address where he promised uninterrupted power supply and zero electricity bill. The post, however, did not mention the date and time of the event.
