SP’s PDA a movement for social harmony: Akhilesh Yadav
LUCKNOW: In the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, people of Uttar Pradesh have wholeheartedly supported Samajwadi Party’s PDA plank that talks of Pichhde (backward class), Dalit, Alpsankhyak (minorities). The resultant victory of 37 SP MPs marks the start of a nationwide movement for social harmony in new ‘INDIA’, said Akhilesh Yadav addressing members of his Team-37 comprising newly elected party MPs.

“More than a political party, the SP has emerged as a constructive movement for social harmony in new INDIA. People from all walks of life have voted for our party wholeheartedly and the result is that by electing 37 SP MPs people of Uttar Pradesh have given a new direction to the politics of not only the state but the entire nation as well,” Akhilesh said.
Akhilesh called upon party leaders to voice concerns of the deprived from all walks of life. “Make sure that the voice of the exploited poor is heard. We have to stand as a shield to protect the deprived from any further neglect,” he said addressing the MPs at party headquarters.
Apart from SP chief and the newly elected MPs, senior leaders, including party’s principal general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav, national general secretary Shivpal Yadav and secretary Rajendra Chaudhary, were also present at the event. SP founder late Mulayam Singh Yadav’s mentor, Udai Pratap Singh, also graced the occasion. Speaking to the reporters after the meeting the MPs, Akhilesh said the big win of SP has come as an added responsibility for the 'Samajwadis' who will now voice the concerns of the people at all possible forums. “Negative politics have come to an end, while positive politics have begun, and issues pertaining to the people have triumphed,” he said.
