Mumbai and adjoining areas woke up to heavy rain accompanied by thunder. Thane and Kalyan experienced heavy spells briefly, providing relief from hot and humid weather.

MUMBAI: Mumbai and adjoining areas like Thane and Kalyan woke up to some heavy rain activity accompanied by thunder at some areas on Sunday morning.

This came in as a much needed respite for the city which was reeling under hot and humid weather conditions. Areas like Dahisar and Borivali saw some heavy spells which however was only for a brief time.
Weather bureau has forecast partly cloudy skies with possibility of thundershowers for Sunday.
This could be accompanied by moderate to heavy rain activity towards the evening and night said weathermen.
High tide of 4.45 metres at 2.17 pm.
