Nashik: Maharashtra OBC welfare minister Atul Save on Saturday said the state govt had increased the number of houses under the Gharkul Yojana to the dhangar community members from 10,000 to 25,000 annually.
“A meeting will soon be held across all 36 districts to finalise the list of beneficiaries under the scheme,” Save said. He was in Nashik to address Ahilyabai Holkar birth anniversary programme.
Save said the govt had taken steps to get 10,000 children of dhangar community admitted to English-medium schools.The govt spent Rs 70,000 annually on each student on the education, he added.
