Nashik: The Upnagar police have arrested two people among a gang of six for attacking a hotelier with sharp weapons on Friday afternoon.
The police have registered an FIR for the offences punishable under sections 307 (attempt to murder), 324 causing hurt by dangerous weapon) and 506 (intentional insult) among other sections of the Indian Penal Code.
According to the police, a hotelier had an argument with one of his staffers working as a waiter on Friday afternoon.
Subsequently, the news of his argument reached his son, following which the latter gathered his five associates and started thrashing the owner with sharp weapons and rods. He has now been hospitalized and his condition is stable.
The police arrested two on Saturday.
The search for the other four is underway.
