Nawada woman, witness in hubby’s murder case, shot

PATNA: Criminals shot dead Mamta Kumari (32), a key witness in her husband’s murder case, late Monday night in Nawada. She was scheduled to testify in court on Wednesday, reports Kshitiz
According to police, car-borne assailants attacked Mamta, a native of Daulatpur village, near Udsa village. The incident occurred while she was returning home on a bike with her husband’s elder brother, Rajesh Prasad.
Rajesh managed to escape, but Mamta was killed on the spot.
Mamta’s family has been involved in a protracted land dispute with co-villagers. Her husband, Vivekanand Prasad (36), was allegedly murdered in 2018 over the same dispute.
