Kullu: The lower districts of Himachal Pradesh, including Una and Kangra, continued to reel under heatwave, with Neri in Hamirpur recording the highest maximum temperature of 46.6°C on Friday.
According to the Meteorological Centre, Shimla, over 10 places in the state recorded a temperature of 40°C or above. Sundernagar recorded a maximum temperature of 40.8°C, Kangra 41.2°C, Una 43.6°C, Bilaspur 43.1°C, Hamirpur 41.8°C, Chamba 40.4°C, and Dhaulakuan in Sirmaur 43.2°C.
The weather department has predicted clear skies for three more days in HP till June 17. An earthquake of magnitude 3.0 struck Kullu on Friday.
