Police arrest 18-year-old with 160gm ganja
Thiruvananthapuram: An 18-year-old Vizhinjam native was arrested with 160 grams of ganja near Chennavilakam public well while waiting for his customers on Friday evening.
The arrested has been identified by police as Umarul Farook of Township Colony at Vizhinjam. The accused has been remanded after producing before a court on charges under section 20 (b) (ii) A of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act-1985.
The mobile phone of the accused, his two-wheeler, plastic covers and papers used for packing the drug were also seized from him.

Police had received a tip-off about his drug business days ago and a team of police in mufti was following him. On Saturday, police received information about the arrival of some people at his home and a police team went to the spot. However, he was not at home and in the evening, he was restrained by police while waiting for customers. During examination, police found the drug that was concealed under the seat of his two-wheeler.
