THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Pozhiyoor police with the help of rural Dansaf shadow police on Sunday arrested two youths over the chain snatching case registered in March after attacking a woman at Pozhiyoor.
The arrested have been identified by police as Muhammed Shan, 24, of Unnimukku near Chithara in Kollam and Rishin, 24, of Chekkalamukku.
Police also suspect that they are behind the attempted chain snatching at Kattakkal Junction in March, but it can be confirmed only after questioning them in custody.

Liji Das, 31, of Cheriyakannukuzhi was travelling on her two-wheeler when the two bike-borne youths snatched her gold chain weighing six sovereigns at Plamoottukada near Neyyattinkara. The first accused snatched the gold chain. Meanwhile, the pillion rider, the second accused, pulled her down. The woman sustained fractures on hand and other injuries in the attack.
