VIJAYAWADA: After getting unanimously elected as the leader of NDA and chief ministerial candidate, N Chandrababu Naidu said that the new govt would work with a positive governance approach by putting the state first.
He said that Amaravati will remain as the only capital of Andhra Pradesh and the NDA govt will develop Visakhapatnam as an economic powerhouse and Kurnool as the seed hub of AP.

Amaravati will be the only capital of state, says Naidu

He assured that there would be no vindictive or revenge politics in his govt but added that wrongdoers would be brought to book. “I will work as a common man not as chief minister,” he said.
He even changed the special chair arranged for him and sat in the one which was similar to those on which Pawan Kalyan and D Purandeswari were sitting.
Terming the huge mandate given by people to NDA as historic, Naidu said though he has faced many elections, “this election was special to me for many reasons”.
“People have rejected anarchic and dictatorial govt. The majorities secured by the MLA candidates are equivalent to that of Parliament elections and it shows the anger of people on the YSRCP govt which destroyed all democratic institutions.

“ People faced so many troubles in the last five years and they have given a historic mandate. The NDA also gave a call that people should win and the state should excel. Responding to our call, people did their duty and now it is the time for us to deliver. People have shown that a ruler should not have arrogance and they have shown arrogant rulers their place,” Naidu said. Appealing to MLAs to be humble and grounded, he warned them that they will also meet the same fate as YSRCP leaders if they behave in an arrogant manner.
Naidu was all praise for Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan for his unconditional support to him and TDP during difficult times. He said the three parties worked in tandem and the kind of coordination they achieved is unprecedented.
Proposing the name of Naidu as leader of NDA, Pawan said Andhra Pradesh needs the experience and vision of Naidu. “People of the state rejected the anarchic and dictatorial govt and gave the NDA a huge mandate. The election result has increased the responsibility of every elected member.,” he said.
Pawan recalled the meeting between him and Naidu in Rajahmundry central jail when the latter was arrested in the alleged skill development scam. Emotions ran high among all members when Pawan spoke empathically for Naidu and hugged him. “I have seen how Naidu struggled in jail. How Bhuvaneswari faced hardships. I assured her that bad days will fade away and a new dawn will set in, and the people of Andhra Pradesh made his wish come true,” he said.
BJP state president Purandeswari who seconded the proposal of Pawan, said the alliance in Andhra Pradesh is an “exemplary example” for all political parties in the country..
