NEW DELHI: In the Lok Sabha elections 2024, BJP's Parshottambhai Rupala leads, while Congress' Dhanani Paresh trails as per early trends in Rajkot.
The Rajkot Lok Sabha constituency is one of the twenty six parliamentary constituencies in the state of Gujarat. The polling day for Gujarat was scheduled for May 7, which is Phase 3 of Lok Sabha elections.
The Election Commission of India announced the dates for the Lok Sabha elections on March 16.

The parliamentary seat of Rajkot recorded a voter turnout of 59.69%, according to data released by the Election Commission.
Established in 1952, it is a general category parliament seat. It includes the assembly segments of Tankara, Wankaner, Rajkot East, Rajkot West, Rajkot South, Rajkot Rural and Jasdan.
For the 2024 elections, the key candidates contesting from Rajkot include BJP led by Parshottambhai Rupala and the Congress led by Dhanani Paresh.

The date of counting and announcement of results for the Rajkot Lok Sabha constituency is June 4.
In the 2019 general election, Mohan Kundariya of BJP emerged victorious with 758,600 votes. Kagathara Lalitbhai of INC was the runner-up with 3,90,238 votes.
In 2014 general election Mohan Kundariya emerged victorious by 621,524 votes while his counterpart Kunvarjibhai Bavaliya from INC received 3,75,096 votes.
