Notably, the BJP had already secured the Surat seat before votes were even counted, with Mukesh Dalal declared the uncontested winner during the nomination process.In the 2019 elections, the BJP achieved an impressive clean sweep by winning all 26 seats for the second consecutive time. This overwhelming victory underscored the party's steadfast support base and reinforced its political dominance in Gujarat.

As per the results declared by the ECI after the counting of votes ended for all the seats, Mandaviya received 6,33,118 lakh votes, while Vasoya got 2,49,758 lakh votes. Polling was held for 25 out of 26 Lok Sabha seats in Gujarat in the third phase of the elections on May 7.

GANDHINAGAR: Having begun his journey in public life more than 30 years ago as a booth-level BJP worker in Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency, Amit Shah stamped his supremacy on the prestigious constituency on Saturday, pulling off a spectacular win with a 7.4-lakh vote margin.

Shah defeated his Congress rival Sonal Patel, by 7,44,716 votes, the second-highest victory margin in Gujarat and likely among the top five in country, in 2024 general elections. Shah polled 10,10,972 votes against 2,66,256 votes polled by Patel. Shah contested a LS election for the first time in 2019 and won Gandhinagar by 5.6 lakh votes.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) contested two of the 26 Lok Sabha seats in Gujarat as INDIA bloc members, but its candidates faced defeat at the hands of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the results announced on Tuesday. The AAP contested Bharuch and Bhavnagar seats under the seat-sharing agreement with the Congress party under the INDI alliance. AAP's Bharuch candidate Chaitar Vasava failed to wrest the seat from BJP stalwart and six-term Member of Parliament Mansukh Vasava. The Scheduled Tribe (ST)-reserved seat once again gave its verdict in favour of the BJP leader, as he won the seat by a margin of 85,696 votes.

The home minister garnered a total of 1010972 votes, while his closest competitor, Sonal Patel from the Congress party, received 2,66,256 votes, resulting in a substantial margin of 744716 votes in favor of Shah.

This marks Shah's second consecutive term representing the Gandhinagar constituency, a seat previously held by BJP veteran Lal Krishna Advani.

In another notable result, BJP's incumbent MP Shankar Lalwani secured a potentially record-breaking margin of 11,75,092 votes in the Indore constituency. Meanwhile, in Assam's Dhubri seat, Congress candidate Rakibul Hussain maintained a lead of 983712 votes over his BJP opponent.

In the closely contested election, Ramji Thakor of the Indian National Congress trailed significantly behind Haribhai Patel. At the end of the tally, Ramji Thakor received a total of 358,360 votes. In the Patan constituency of Gujarat, the closely contested election saw the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate, Dabhi Bharatsinjhi Shankarji, emerge victorious with 591,947 votes, a substantial lead of 31,876 votes over his nearest rival. The Indian National Congress (INC) candidate, Chandanji Talaji Thakor, trailed just behind with 560,071 votes, narrowly losing the electoral battle by the same margin of 31,876 votes.

In the Banaskantha constituency Geniben Nagaji Thakor of the Indian National Congress is currently leading with 671,883 votes, a gain of 30,406 votes. Trailing behind is Dr. Rekhaben Hiteshbhai Chaudhari of the Bharatiya Janata Party with 641,477 votes, a deficit of 30,406 votes. The Congress candidate appears to have secured a significant lead over the BJP contender. In the 2019, elections for the Banaskantha constituency, Parbatbhai Savabhai Patel of the BJP emerged victorious securing 679,108 votes, which accounted to an impressive 61.62 percent of the total votes polled establishing a clear majority over his opponents.

Gujarat BJP President C R Paatil has secured a resounding victory in the Navsari lok sabha seat by a massive margin of 7.73 lakh votes. The voter turnout was 59.66 per cent this year. In the 2019 election, C R Patil, the candidate from the Bharatiya Janata Party, achieved a notable victory by securing a total of 972,739 votes

In the 2019 lok sabha elections, Mansukhbhai Dhanjibhai Vasava of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won the Bharuch parliamentary constituency secured a total of 637,795 votes, which accounted for 55.47% of the total votes cast. Sherkhan Abdulsakur Pathan of the Indian National Congress (INC) stood second with a total of 303,581 votes, which accounted for 26.40% of the total votes cast. This resulted in a defeat margin of 334,214 votes for the INC candidate

BJP leader Parshottam Rupala, has established a substantial lead of over 4.65 lakh votes in the Rajkot Lok Sabha constituency of Gujarat, according to officials on Tuesday. His closest rival, Paresh Dhanani from the Congress party, trails significantly behind.

As per the latest vote count, Rupala has secured 8,22,362 votes, while Dhanani, a former Congress MLA, has managed to garner 3,52,373 votes.
In the lead-up to the elections, Rupala faced backlash from the Kshatriya community, also referred to as Rajputs, over certain remarks he made about former rulers. Protests were held in various parts of Gujarat, with some community leaders demanding Rupala's replacement as a candidate, despite his apology for the comments.

BJP's Haribhai Patel Wins Mahesana lok sabha seat in Gujarat by a margin of 328,046 Votes, defeating INC's Ramji Thakor.In the 2019 lok sabha elections, Shardaben Anilbhai Patel of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured 659,525 votes, which accounted for 60.96% of the total votes cast

In the Amreli Constituency in Gujarat, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) candidate, Chauhan Ravajibhai Mulabhai, is trailing in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. According to the ECI, Chauhan is trailing with a significant margin of 573,329 votes.

Kalusinh Dabhi is trailing BJP's Chauhan by a margin of 357758.

The history of electoral outcomes in Gujarat has predominantly favored the BJP, especially under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi. Since his ascendance as Prime Minister, the BJP has capitalized on his popularity and the party's development narrative to secure overwhelming victories in 2014 and 2019, mainly the Modi wave helped the party achieve a clean sweep of all 26 seats in both elections.

Parshottambhai Rupala from the Bhartiya Janta Party is leading from the Rajkot Constituency, while Dhanani Paresh was trailing. There are over 21.12273 lakh voters in the constituency. The voter turnout this year was 1260768 which is 59.69%.

As per 3pm Congress' Lalit Vasoya is trailing Mandaviya by 380285. The Porbandar Lok Sabha constituency is one of the twenty six parliamentary constituencies in Gujarat. The polling day for Gujarat was scheduled for May 7, in the third phase.

Union Minister Amit Shah leading by over 6.37 lakh votes in the Gandhinagar constituency of Gujarat. There are over 21.82736 lakh voters in the constituency. The voter turnout this year was 1305197 which is 59.80%.

Hasmukhbhai Patel who is is contesting from the Ahmedabad East constituency and is leading over Congress' Himmatsinh Prahladsinh Patel by a margin of 366851 votes at 2.45pm, as per EC data.

Vadodara's BJP candidate Hemang Joshi was also leading by a margin of over 1.33 lakh votes. Congress candidate Jashpalsinh Padhiyar was trailing. It is an ST-category parliament seat. In the 2019 general election Ranjanben Dhananjay Bhatt, emerged victorious with 8 83,719 votes. Prashant Chandubhai Patel was the runner-up with 2,94,542votes. In 2014 general election Liladhar Vaghela emerged victorious by 5,18,538 votes while his counterpart Bhavsinh Rathod from INC received 3,79,819 votes.
