Madhya Pradesh Election Results 2024 Highlights: BJP clean sweeps MP, takes all 29 seats

BJP may have suffered a bruising in UP, Maharashtra and Rajasthan, but the party has 29 reasons to celebrate in MP, the original saffron heartland. BJP’s slogan of “400 paar” had fizzled out by noon on Tuesday, but in MP the call for 29-0 was ringing out loud and clear. Even Congress’ last bastion, Chhindwara, fell. MP has never proven its loyalty to BJP more emphatically.

Darshan Singh Choudhary from Bhartiaya Janata Party wins the Hoshangabad Lok Sabha seat with 431696 margin, securing total 812147 votes. Sanjay Sharma Sanju from Indian National Congress lost by securing 380451 votes.

Anil Firojiya from Bhartiaya Janata Party wins the Ujjain Lok Sabha seat with 375860 margin, securing total 836104 votes. Mahesh Parmar from Indian National Congress loses by securing 460244 votes.

Alok Sharma from Bhartiaya Janata Party wins the Bhopal Lok Sabha seat with 501499 margin, securing total 981109 votes. Arun Shrivastava from Indian National Congress loses by securing 479610 votes.

On Tuesday, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia won the Guna Lok Sabha seat in Madhya Pradesh with a margin of 5,40,929 votes, defeating Congress's Yadvendra Rao Deshraj Singh. Scindia, who was a former Congress leader, won on the BJP ticket for the first time. He secured 9,23,302 votes, while his Congress rival received 3,82,373 votes, according to the Election Commission data.

Janardan Mishra from Bhartiaya Janata Party won the Rewa Lok Sabha seat with 193374 margin, securing total 477459 votes. Neelam Abhay Sharma from Indian National Congress loses by securing 284085 votes.

Bunty Vivek Sahu from Bhartiaya Janata Party wins the Chhindwara Lok Sabha seat with 113618 margin, securing total 644738 votes. Nakul Kamalnath from Indian National Congress loses by securing 531120 votes.

Vishnu Datt Sharma from Bhartiaya Janata Party wins the Khajuraho Lok Sabha seat with 541229 margin, securing total 772774 votes. Kamlesh Kumar from Indian National Congress loses by securing 231545 votes.

Ashish Dubet from Bhartiaya Janata Party wins the Jabalpur Lok Sabha seat with 486674 margin, securing total 790133 votes. Dinesh Yadav from Indian National Congress loses by securing 303459 votes.

Ganesh Singh from Bhartiaya Janata Party wins the Satna Lok Sabha seat with 84949 margin, securing total 459728 votes. Dabbu Siddharth Sukhlal Kushwaha from Indian National Congress loses by securing 374779 votes.

Rahul Singh Lodhi from Bhartiaya Janata Party wins the Damoh Lok Sabha seat with 4,06,426 margin, securing total 7,09,768 votes. Tarbar Singh Lodhi from Indian National Congress trails by securing 3,03,342 votes.

Bharat Singh Kushwah from Bhartiaya Janata Party leads the Gwalior Lok Sabha seat with 67,260 margin, securing total 6,60,735 votes. Praveen Pathak from Indian National Congress trails by securing 5,93,475 votes.

Faggan Singh Kulaste from Bhartiaya Janata Party wins the Mandla seat with 1,03,846 margin, securing total 7,51,375 votes. Omkar Singh Markam from Indian National Congress lost by securing 647,529 votes.

​In an interview CM of Madhya Pradesh Mohan Yadav said, "I am satisfied that the Modi government is going to form government again with a full majority...The BJP is leading on 29 out of 29 seats in Madhya Pradesh. I want to congratulate PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and party president JP Nadda."

Shankar Lalwani from Bhartiya Janata Party wins the Indore Lok Sabha seat with a massive margin of 10,08,077 receiving 12,26,751 votes, Sanjay s/o Lakshman Solanki from Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) is the runner-up with 51659 votes.

DR. Virendra Kumar from Bhartiya Janata Party wins the Tikamgarh Lok Sabha seat with a margin of 403312 receiving 715050 votes, Khuman Urf Pankaj Ahirwar of Indian National Congress is the runner-up with 311738 votes.

Congress leader and Rajgarh Lok Sabha seat candidate, Digvijaya Singh, extended congratulations to Mallikarjun Kharge for the performance of the Congress party under his leadership. Singh expressed doubt that the BJP will secure a majority, predicting potential infighting within the party. In terms of the Rajgarh Lok Sabha seat, Singh expressed disappointment with the polling results. With only half of the votes counted so far, he stated "let's see what happens." As per the latest Election Commission of India (ECI) trends, Singh is currently trailing from the seat by a margin of 1,05,275 votes, with the counting still ongoing.

Ashish Dubey, a new candidate fielded by BJP in Jabalpur is leading the fray by746304 votes with a margin of 460707, Dinesh Yadav of Congress receives 285597 votes.

In the Vidisha Lok Sabha seat, BJP leader and former Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan defeated Pratapbhanu Sharma of INC. Chouhan secured a comfortable victory with 76.87% of votes.

The Bharatiya Janata Party, as per the latest figures, seems to be heading towards a clean sweep in all 29 Lok Sabha seats in Madhya Pradesh.The Congress, however, is likely to face its biggest defeat in the state.In Madhya Pradesh, the BJP won 28 out of the total 29 Lok Sabha seats in 2019.In 2019, the Congress had managed to retain its bastion, Chhindwara. But this time, Congress nominee Nakul Nath -- son of former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Kamal Nath -- was trailing by over 50,000 votes.

BJP candidate Shivmangal Singh Tomar is leading with a count of 408,944 and INC candidate Neetu Satyapal Singh Sikarwar trailing with a vote count of 372,189 in Morena as recent trends entail.

V.D. Sharma is leading by a margin of 482,792 against current BSP rival Kamlesh Kumar. All India Forward Bloc candidate R.B. Prajapati is trailing with a margin of 639,942.

Anil Firojiya of the BJP is leading against rival Mahesh Parmar of INC with a margin of about 264,724 in the Ujjain constituency.

Balaghat BJP candidate Bharti Pardhi is leading against her rival Samrat Ashok Singh Saraswar of INC.

Union Minister for Civil Aviation Jyotiraditya Scindia secured a victory against Congress candidate Yadvendra Rao Deshraj Singh in the Guna constituency in Madhya Pradesh. This constituency, long associated with the Scindia family, marks another political triumph for Jyotiraditya Scindia.As of 1.30 PM, Scindia was ahead of his Congress counterpart by 444640 votes.

BJP's Shankar Lalwani Leads Indore Lok Sabha Seat by 7,89,625 Votes; NOTA in Second Place with 1,69,228 Votes.

MP Congress president Jitu Patwari on poll trends says "The exit polls' prediction of 400 paar for NDA has proved false. Egoes of people have shattered. People of the country are still dedicated to safeguarding the constitution... There are 5-10 seats in the state which have a margin of nearly 7-8 thousand votes, the picture will become clear by evening."

"The poll trends of the country show that the people want to protect our Constitution. The trends, so far, are a lesson for (PM) Modi who was trying to be greater than the country," says MP Congress president Jitu Patwari on poll trends.

"They (BJP) were trying to create an atmosphere but it's 'doodh ka doodh paani ka pani'," says former Madhya Pradesh CM and senior Congress leader Kamal Nath on poll trends. On his son Nakul Nath trailing in Chhindwara, he says, "I will accept the people's mandate."

Madhya Pradesh's Indore has recorded the highest ever for NOTA with around 1,11,691 votes. The Congress had asked the voters to vote NOTA as its candidate backed out at the last moment.

"We are forming the government for the third time...The trends are in favor of BJP...The results will also be in favor of BJP...Based on 10 years of governance of BJP government, the public has chosen BJP again..." says BJP MP and leader Sadhvi Pragya Singh.

Congress leader and candidate from the Rajgarh Lok Sabha seat in Madhya Pradesh, Digvijaya Singh, remarked, "The seal of EVM was not matching at two polling stations..."

Former Madhya Pradesh CM and BJP candidate from Vidisha, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, is leading by a margin of 188,350 votes as counting continues.

"The fourth round has ended... I have full faith in the people of Chhindwara... The performance of the INDIA alliance will be very good." said Senior Congress leader Kamal. His son, Nakul Nath is trailing as per recent trends.

“The counting has started and I believe that what has been said will be proved right. ‘Abki baar Modi sarkaar’,” said Madhya Pradesh Deputy CM Jagdish Dewda.

Senior Congress leader Kamal Nath, commenting on his son and party candidate Nakul Nath trailing in initial trends, stated, "Jo hai so hai, we will examine it."Regarding the overall election trends for Congress, he remarked, "Yes, I saw the party leading on 214. It is good. It is what is being reported in the news. We will see what actually happens."

INDIA's Incumbent MP Nakul Kamal Nath is battling against Bunty Vivek Sahu of BJP in Chhindwara.

The BJP-led NDA alliance is on its way to winning the state of Madhya Pradesh with its candidates leading in 28 out of 29 seats.

"...The manner in which questions are being raised again and again on the electoral process and dictatorship of Election Commission - what does all of this indicate? That elected Governments belong to the country. Why did it start belonging to a party? I think Congress party has given its best and the results will be the best." said Madhya Pradesh Congress chief Jitu Patwari.

NDA is leading in most major constituencies dominating the INDIA alliance and is on its way to capturing the majority of the 29 Lok Sabha seats in Madhya Pradesh.

Congress candidate from Chhindwara Lok Sabha seat, Nakul Nath says, "I took blessings of Lord Hanuman and I believe that the people of Chhindwara will also bless me. The result will be out in a few hours, no matter what the exit polls predicted..."

"Vote counting will be done on 52 counting centres in the state... Adequate arrangements have been made... Madhya Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer Anupam Rajan said.
