Finally, Dev gears up to launch ''girlfriend''

So they���re just good friends. And there���s nothing unusual about friends helping each other out, right? This could well be the reason why Dev is ready to launch his ���girlfriend��� Rukmini Maitra in a special project to be directed by another friend ��� filmmaker Raj Chakrabarty.
Given that this will be Rukmini���s foray into the film world out of her comfort zone ��� modelling ��� the venture is being kept tightly under wraps.We���ve heard that boxing will be at the core of the story, so you can expect a lot of intense and rigorous training in shorts and tees for the lead pair. We���ve also heard that Dev will produce the film, so you can be sure that no expenses will be spared to ensure that Rukmini debuts on screen in a blaze of glory.
Raj, despite repeated queries, was tight-lipped about the film. ���It���s at a very initial stage right now. There���s nothing to talk about,��� was his terse reply. But Raj is phenomenal with debutantes and has launched some of the best-known faces in Tollywood over the years ��� take Mimi, Priyanka, Rahul, Koushani and Bonny. We���re hoping that Rukmini���s gorgeous, talkative personality is just what he needs to launch another new face in the industry.
Meanwhile, another ���friend��� of Raj���s ��� industry first boy Srijit Mukherji ��� is gearing up to launch Dev in a deaf-and-mute avatar in his Zulfiqar. It���s going to be a season of contrasts this Puja, but we���re not complaining.
