The 29th Kolkata International Film Festival is slated to kick off on December 5. And reportedly, the inaugural film will be a Uttam Kumar classic. Here’s what else is on the cards…

LEGENDS IN FOCUSThe week-long festival, which will be attended by delegates and guests from across the world, will pay tribute to legendary filmmaker Mrinal Sen on his birth centenary year and actor Dev Anand.
“This year Spain and Australia are the fest’s focus countries. The fest will also include a Bengali Panorama in the competitive section for the first time, with a prize money of `7.5lakh,” said Raj Chakrabarty
