‘Pappur Biye’ is a social satire addressing age-old societal norms

Anthony Jane who has previously assisted director Raja Chanda in many Bengali hits is all set for his directorial debut. The comedy flick titled ‘Pappur Biye’ will release in theatres tomorrow.
The plot follows Pappu, who had failed in class X for the fourth time, and gets terrified when his father plans his marriage. He then goes to his mentor for some suggestion, who helps Pappu by involving him in an adventure that turns out to be a misadventure.It changes his life forever. What happens next is a series of comedy of errors.

Two young talents Taabbu and Pampi will be seen in the lead alongside veteran actors Biswajit Chakraborty, Soma Chakraborty, Arunava Dutta, Papiya Adhikari, Borun Chakroborty, Sumitro Banerjee and Piyali in pivotal roles.
While Utsav Mondal has scored the music, M. Malay is the DOP in this film.
