The actor, on Monday, limited comments on his social media handles after reportedly facing a wave of hate and harassment since the airing of Season 2. Frankel, who portrays Ser Criston Cole in the popular 'Game of Thrones' prequel, has been at the centre of fan outrage and negativity as his characters' actions have sparked strong reactions.
Some viewers have unfortunately taken their frustrations out on the actor through social media.
"How did you go from being the most liked character and becoming the worst character in GOT history?" read a comment.
Others flooded the comments section with hate messages that read, "I hate you."
Another addressed Frankel as his character, saying, "I hate you Criston!"
In response to the fan outrage over his character's actions in the second episode, Frankel took to his stories to share a photo with co-stars Luke Tittensor and Elliott Tittensor who played twins Arryk and Erryk. "Sorry boys... Love ya!" he captioned a photo from the green carpet premiere.
The actor has since garnered support from fans of the franchise, who have rallied behind him, condemning the harassment.
