Travis Kelce shares delightful encounter with Prince William at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour

Travis Kelce recently opened up about his memorable meeting with Prince William during Taylor Swift’s London Eras Tour.
On his and his brother Jason Kelce’s podcast, ‘New Heights,’ Travis shared his excitement and the unique experience of interacting with the British royal and his family - Prince William, who attended the concert with his children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
Travis admitted he was unsure of the proper etiquette when meeting royalty. “I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to bow, curtsy, or just be an American and shake their hands, like, ‘Sup, dude,’” he said humorously. Despite his uncertainty, Travis was keen on being respectful and polite.
Jason Kelce added that there was no need for formal gestures since they were not at an official royal event. He humorously noted that he even felt compelled to distance himself from his beer out of respect. “I’ve never seen you give someone that much respect,” Travis joked, highlighting the reverence they both felt during the encounter.
The Kelce brothers were particularly impressed by Prince William’s parenting style. Travis noted that the Prince of Wales allowed his children to be vocal and expressive. Jason chimed in, saying that Princess Charlotte was the highlight of their interaction. “She was so adorable and full of energy,” he said. “Maybe because I have three girls now, but she had a fire to her. She was asking questions and really engaging.”
Their encounter with the royal family wasn’t just about protocol and politeness. It also provided a glimpse into Prince William's personal life. William danced to Swift's ‘Shake It Off,’ showcasing a relaxed and fun side. This lighter moment contrasts with the personal challenges he faces, including his wife Kate Middleton, and his father King Charles’ recent health issues. According to a friend of the royals, these health concerns have brought William and his father closer, strengthening their bond. The friend shared with the Mail that the illnesses have fostered greater tolerance and connection between the two men, allowing them to focus more on their shared responsibilities.
