Abhijeet Bhattacharya reveals he sang 'Tan Tana Tan' song for Salman Khan thinking it was for Govinda; says Chunari Chunari song was never great for him

Abhijeet Bhattacharya shared that while recording 'Tan Tana Tan' for the movie Judwaa, he envisioned Govinda in the role. It was only later that he found out Salman Khan was actually the star of the film.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Abhijeet discussed recording the song 'Tan Tana Tan' for Judwaa. He mentioned that Anu Malik called him to Sahara Studio for a David Dhawan song.Without any rehearsals, he was asked to sing directly. David Dhawan was not present on set at the time. The song was written, and Abhijeet then performed it at the microphone.

He also shared that while singing the song, he envisioned Govinda, assuming that David Dhawan, who had consistently worked with Govinda, would feature him. He was unaware that Salman Khan starred in the film. Despite everyone knowing Salman Khan was in the movie, Abhijeet was oblivious to it during the recording.

He explained that it was difficult to imagine Salman Khan in the song because he performed it in Govinda's style. Abhijeet mentioned that even the recordist commented on his approach, questioning why he was emulating Govinda, indicating their surprise at his interpretation.
He added that he was unaware Salman Khan was in the film. He noted that the song's focus was on dance and choreography rather than facial expressions or acting, which is why it wasn't apparent that Salman was the star.

Discussing the hit song 'Chunari Chunari,' featuring Salman Khan and Sushmita Sen, Abhijeet mentioned that he never considered it a great song personally; it was just a piece where his name appeared. He clarified that although it wasn't his song, it had been a significant hit for a long time.
The renowned playback singer remarked that while his songs have been hits, it doesn't necessarily mean the films they were featured in were commercially successful. He emphasized that his songs have become classics over time.
