After 'Swatantrya Veer Savarkar', Randeep Hooda shares plans of directing a film in future: 'I want to make an action movie'
Despite facing challenges during the making of his debut directorial, 'Swatantrya Veer Savarkar', Randeep Hooda affirmed his commitment to telling untold stories that challenge conventional perspectives, hinting at future projects that might continue in this vein, possibly exploring action genres rooted in UP's vibrant backdrop.
"I want to make an action movie.
It can be based on UP. Modestly speaking, I have given a new perspective on making biopics to the industry with 'Swatantrya Veer Savarkar' and now hopefully I will do the same with my action film", the actor said at TOI dialogues.

Discussing his cinematic ties to Uttar Pradesh, Randeep spoke passionately about the state's potential to become a major filmmaking hub. Drawing from his recent series 'Inspector Avinash,' filmed in Lucknow, he praised UP's transformation into a filming-friendly destination, citing improved incentives and security measures.

He noted the state's rich diversity and heritage as fertile ground for a wide range of cinematic narratives, suggesting that films like 'Saheb Biwi Gangster,' originally conceptualized for UP, are now finding their roots back in the state due to favorable filming conditions.
