Parineeti Chopra talks about the special 'O Piya' song, dedicating it to her husband Raghav Chadha

Bollywood darling Parineeti Chopra has come a long way since her charming debut in the 2011 hit "Ladies vs. Ricky Bahl." Not only did the rom-com launch her into superstardom, but it also showcased her versatility as an actress.
Chopra has since captivated audiences in a variety of roles, from the passionate romance of "Ishaqzaade" to the quirky charm of "Hasee Toh Phasee." And if that wasn't enough, she recently married her love, Raghav Chadha, in a star-studded Udaipur ceremony on September 2023.
During Parineeti and Raghav’s wedding celebrations, a standout moment was when Parineeti dedicated the song "O Piya" to her groom. This same song played during their varmala ceremony.
In an interview with the Times of India, Parineeti shared why she chose this special gesture for her husband. She explained that they first connected through their shared love for music. She mentioned, “Raghav and I bonded over music; I sing and have access to people from the industry like music composers and music directors, and so I wanted to do something very special and unique at the wedding. I made that song, and it was a big surprise for everybody, especially Raghav."
Parineeti Chopra mentioned that the first time people heard "O Piya" was when she walked down the aisle at her wedding. She recalled the special moment when the song played in the background as she walked. Parineeti described it as a deeply meaningful moment for both her and Raghav, something they will always cherish in their hearts.
She shared, “When I walked down the aisle, that song played for the first time. So, all the guests, including Raghav, were listening to it for the first time. It was a special moment that we will never forget. It’s something that is ours, and nobody can take it away from us.”
On the work front, Parineeti Chopra's recent work includes the Netflix film 'Amar Singh Chamkila,' where she portrayed the character of Amarjot Kaur. Directed by Imtiaz Ali, the movie features Punjabi star Diljit Dosanjh in the lead role of Amar Singh Chamkila.
