'Naguvina Hoogala Mele' is an eagerly awaited Kannada film poised to captivate audiences with its blend of romance, drama, and heartfelt storytelling. Starring Abhishek Das and Sharanya Shetty in lead roles, the film promises to take viewers on an emotional journey woven around the delicate nuances of love and life. In an exclusive interview with ETimes ahead of the premiere, actor Abhishek Das offered insights into the movie, highlighting its potential to leave a lasting impact on viewers well beyond the closing credits.
"Naguvina Hoogala Mele" was filmed in 2021 in the picturesque locales of Mangalore. Joining me on this project were my former co-stars from "Gattimela," Sharanya Shetty and Girish Betappa. This film delves into the complexities of long-distance relationships, highlighting the importance of nurturing them despite the physical distance. With its focus on themes of love and connection, it resonates deeply with the younger audience. Originally slated for release in 2023, I insisted on launching it in February, the month of love, to enhance its relevance and impact," shared Abhishek about the movie.

He continued by saying, "What sets 'Naguvina Hoogala Mele' apart from other love stories is its portrayal of the intricate process of nurturing a long-distance relationship despite various challenges and uncertainties. Beyond romantic partners, the film also explores the dynamics of long-distance relationships with family members and friends, providing a comprehensive view of love's resilience."
Having said that, Abhishek added, "This movie beautifully celebrates love in its various forms, making it relatable and engaging for audiences of all ages. Essentially, 'Naguvina Hoogala Mele' serves as an emotional blend of emotions that resonates across different age groups."
Furthermore, he discusses his on-screen character and offers a glimpse into it.
"I portray the character of Manu, a civil engineer in Naguvina Hoogala Mele. Manu is depicted as a gentle, kind-hearted individual who experiences love at first sight upon meeting his romantic interest. Unlike my real-life persona, which tends to be short-tempered and lacking in patience, Manu embodies qualities that are quite the opposite. Playing this role allowed me to explore a different facet of my personality, diving into the simplicity and goodness that define Manu. Interestingly, my parents had hoped for me to pursue a career in engineering, a path I deviated from due to my passion for acting. Consequently, my mother is eagerly anticipating seeing me portray an engineer on-screen," he shares.

When asked about his upcoming projects, the actor succinctly stated, "After the triumph of my past films, I've been inundated with offers for new projects. I eagerly await the chance to shift my focus from television to the silver screen. With the support of my parents and my unwavering commitment, I aspire to further solidify my presence in the film industry through my acting pursuits. My primary goal and fervor lie in staying busy with work and relishing each project that comes my way."
