'Dia', the 2020 runaway hit starring Kushee Ravi, Dheekshith Shetty, and Pruthvi Ambaar, has charmed a nationwide audience. Apart from its success on OTT, the film was sought after for its remake rights from all corners. While the Telugu and Malayalam dubbed versions of 'Dia' did really on digital platforms, the film was officially remade in Telugu in 2021 as 'Dear Megha'.
In the same vein, the director of the original Kannada version, K.S. Ashoka, was commissioned to also direct the official Hindi remake of the film.Titled 'Dear Dia', Pruthvi Ambaar was roped in soon after to play the lead role in the remake with two new cast members roped in to essay the other two parts in the triangular love story. Pruthvi Ambaar took to social media a short while to unveil the first look of the Hindi remake, 'Dear Dia'.
"Happy to be revealing the poster of Dear Dia, releasing soon on theatres, which is the Hindi official remake of Dia," wrote Pruthvi in his Instagram post. 'Dear Dia' launches Mihika Kushwaha and Ujjwal Sharma while Kamlesh Singh Kushwaha produces the remake.


'Dia', the Kannada original, was produced by Krishna Chaitanya with K.S. Ashoka serving as the writer-director. The film opened to a lukewarm response initially but later gained tremendous traction to become one of the more memorable hits of 2020 along with 'Love Mocktail'.
