Birthday boy
Raj B Shetty has been spending some much needed time with family back home in Mangaluru. “Thanks to the lockdown, I decided to come home to Kudla. It helped that the films I’m working on are also based in this milieu. I’m happy to be home this birthday and it’ll be quality time that I’ve been wanting for a long time ,” says Raj. For now, it’s his upcoming
Garuda Gamana Vrishaba Vahana that is keeping him occupied.
Giving a glimpse at the making and exclusive stills from the film on his big day, Raj shares that he’s happy to be showcasing the culture, ways and means of a city he loves so much, once more on the screen. “We’ve shot at some locales in
Mangaluru that haven’t been seen on screen before. They are regular sites yet convey a distinct local flavour,” he states.
This film has Raj and
Rishab Shetty in the two lead roles, while
Gopal Deshpande, who played the trumpet guy in
Avane Srimannarayana, also has a very important character in the film.
Raj had revealed the first poster of this film in Feebruary this year, while also announcing that he had finished shooting for the film. He also had told
Bangalore Times earlier that he sought inspiration from the character traits of Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu for the two characters in this underworld based film, which can be seen through the title of the film that alludes to both of the Gods.
