'Pavi Caretaker' box office collections day 24: Dileep starrer struggles amidst new releases, collects only Rs 2 lakhs

The comedy entertainer ‘Pavi Caretaker’, starring renowned actor Dileep, has witnessed a significant decline in its box office performance, managing to earn only Rs 2 lakhs on its 24th day. Despite the coming of new releases such as 'Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil' and many more, the film has struggled to maintain its initial momentum.

According to the Sacnilk website, the Malayalam net collections for 'Pavi Caretaker' now total Rs 7.08 crores over 24 days, with worldwide collections standing at Rs 8.09 crores.The India gross amount is also Rs 8.09 crore, indicating that the film has managed to cover its budget of Rs 8.05 crore, albeit just barely.

Directed by Vineeth Kumar, 'Pavi Caretaker' was released on April 26 and opened to mixed reviews. The movie stars Dileep in the titular role of Pavi, a caretaker whose comedic antics drive the plot. Despite the star power of Dileep and the comedic premise, the film has faced stiff competition from other new releases, impacting its box office performance.
The film's opening was met with moderate expectations, but the steady decline in daily collections suggests that it has not connected strongly with audiences.
Also, the movie was expected to satisfy family audiences, but the collection figures suggest that the category has not received the film well.
On the other hand, Dileep's previous outing 'Thankamani' also failed to make any good impact at the box office.
