‘Valimai’ fame Malayalam actor Dinesh Prabhakar: I was stunned when Ajith Kumar sir came to me and introduced himself - Exclusive

The Malayalam actor Dinesh Prabhakar is currently basking in the glory of 'Valimai'. The actor is on cloud nine as he played a major role in the Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar’s recent big-budget film. Dinesh Prabhakar who plays a police inspector in the actioner opened up on his experience while working with the actor Ajith Kumar.

“Although I have earlier played a role in Ajith Kumar sir’s film ‘Nerkonda Paarvai’, I was sad that I didn't get to play a combination scene with him.When the director H. Vinoth called me for his next big-budget film ‘Valimai’, I immediately jumped into the project even without having the knowledge of the premise or even my character details. After reaching Chennai only I got to know that I was roped in to play a Police role in the movie and was too excited as the director said that I will be playing a prominent role along with Ajith sir," shares an excited Dinesh in an exclusive conversation with ETimes.

When asked about his experience while working with Ajith Kumar, Dinesh Prabhakar opened up by saying, “ Although I was excited to share screen space with Ajith sir, I had an inner fear. But on the first day itself, Ajith sir came to me, shook my hand and said, “Hello I am Ajith Kumar." The actor further added that he was shellshocked at Ajith’s humble behavior. "I was stunned when Ajith Kumar sir came to me and introduced himself," he recalls. Dinesh furthermore added that Ajith also appreciated his performance in the film ‘Nerkonda Paarvai’.

“Ajith sir made everyone comfortable on the set and had so much positive energy in him just like our Lalettan (Mohanlal). Ajith sir took care of everyone on the set including the crew members and maintained a close connection with most of them. Maybe because of Ajith sir’s positive energy, there was not even one dull person on the set of ‘Valimai’, reveals Dinesh Prabhakar.

Dinesh Prabhakar further said that he was very happy at receiving mostly positive responses for his role in ‘Valimai’ and most of his friends from Kerala also applauded him for getting roped in for such a big project by Ajith Kumar.
Meanwhile, Dinesh Prabhakar has a list of highly ambitious projects in the pipeline that includes the films ‘Padachone Ingalu Kaatholee’, ‘Veekam’, ‘Ottakomban’ and ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect ’.
