AR Rahman to perform live in 'Maamannan' audio launch; makers announce a musical evening

Directed by Mari Selvaraj, 'Maamannan' is one of the most anticipated films of the year. The political drama features Udayanidhi Stalin, Fahadh Faasil, Keerthy Suresh, and Vadivelu in lead roles. The music for the movie is composed by AR Rahman.
The film's audio and trailer launch is said to happen at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai on June 1 at 6 p.m.
Taking to social media, music composer AR Rahman announced that he would be performing live at the audio launch. The makers also officially announced the audio and trailer launch and said that it would be a musical evening.
The movie makers have already released two songs from the film: "Raasa Kannu', an emotional song sung by Vadivelu, and 'Jigu Jigu Rail," which is crooned by AR Rahman. Both songs were well received by the audience.
It is expected that the film will be released in theatres on June 29. The movie marks the end of Udayanidhi Stalin's film journey. The actor announced that 'Maamannan' will be his last film before taking up the role of a minister in the cabinet of Tamil Nadu. He also announced that he will be completely withdrawing from his production company and said that no movie will be released under his name hereafter.
