Is Vijay Sethupathi signing his next with the controversial director Ram Gopal Varma?

Actor Vijay Sethupathi is currently basking in the success of the film 'Maharaja', his 50th film. Directed by Nithilan Swaminathan, the film stars Vijay Sethupathi, Anurag Kashyap, DOP Nataraj and Manta Mohandas. The film was released in theatres on June 14 and it has grossed more than Rs 80 crore in 10 days and it is now slowly stepping towards the Rs 100 crore mark.
Now, following this the actor is said to be in talks with another director for his new film.Director Ram Gopal Varma, a couple of days back met Vijay Sethupathi in his office and the picture went viral on social media after the director shared it. At that time it was not revealed as to why the two legends met and it is now reported that the two are planning to collaborate for an untitled project.
The collaboration is yet to materialize and the official announcement is awaited. Meanwhile on the work front, Vijay Sethupathi has his films 'Gandhi Talk' and 'Viduthalai Part 2' awaiting its release. He has also signed up for the Telugu film with director Buchi Babu Sana. The tentatively titled 'RC 16' stars Ram Charan, Janhvi Kapoor, Vijay Sethupathi and Shiva Rajkumar in lead roles. The actor also has his films 'Train' and 'Ace' in Tamil which are in different stages of production.
