There were several rumours going around about Lokesh Kanagaraj’s upcoming collaboration with Superstar Rajinikanth for the action film ‘Coolie’. Fans and followers of the director noted that he recently removed the ‘#coolie’ tag from his Twitter bio, which sparked speculations about the project getting shelved.
Now, Lokesh has a savage reply to these ongoing rumours as he shared a look test picture of the superstar for the movie.

On June 26, Lokesh Kanagaraj took to his Twitter account and uploaded a mirror selfie with Rajinikanth, in which the actor is stunning in his all-black ensemble and cool black sunglasses. He is posing for a mirror selfie with Lokesh as they finish the first look test for ‘Coolie’. While sharing the picture, Lokesh wrote, “Look test for #Coolie 🔥 On floors from July.” The shooting of the movie will commence this July.
As soon as he shared the picture, fans were happy and celebrated it with immense love. One fan wrote, "Rs 1000 crore loading,” and another fan reacted, "Thalaivaa is fire.”
The makers shared a teaser of the film a few months ago, which showcased Rajinikanth in a mass and class avatar. He was fighting goons with a long chain made of gold wristwatches. It was a monochrome video.

'Coolie' is the first collaboration between Lokesh Kanagaraj and Rajinikanth, and there are reports about Sivakarthikeyan playing a key role in the movie. Anirudh Ravichander is the music director of the film.
