Vijay Antony, who has been multitasking as composer, actor, and editor, is making his directorial debut with 'Pichaikkaran 2', a sequel to his 2016 Tamil blockbuster.The expectations are high for the sequel and the film's post-production work is yet to be completed just a couple of weeks before the announced release date.
So, the makers are in consideration to postpone the film's release. But it will be hard for the Vijay Antony starrer to find a release date in a quick time as several biggies are already locked to release in the following weeks. At the same time, the step back of 'Pichaikkaran 2' might help other movies 'Rudhran' and 'Soppana Sundari', which are announced to release for the occasion of Tamil New Year on April 14.
Meanwhile, 'Pichaikkaran 2's first single 'Anti Bikili' theme track was released a week back, and the Vijay Antony musical is grabbing decent attention on musical platforms. Along with Vijay Antony, Kavya Thapar, Hareesh Peradi, Yogi Babu, and Mansoor Ali Khan also play important roles in 'Pichaikkaran 2' and the film will be released simultaneously with its Telugu version.
