The first look of Satya Dev’s upcoming film ‘Thimmarusu’ has been unveiled on Saturday to a solid response from netizens. Tipped to be a legal thriller revolving around a murder mystery, the poster showcases the lead actor seated on a Bullet amid the street with a briefcase in hand. While the regular shooting of the film is proceeding at a rapid pace, the teaser is scheduled to release on December 9.
Directed by ‘Kirrak Party’ fame Sharan Koppisetty, Thimmarusu is the Telugu remake of Kannada film ‘Birbal Trilogy Case 1: Finding Vajramuni’ which received critical acclaim and commercial reception upon release in 2019. While Rukmini Vasanth made her leading lady debut with the original version, ‘Taxiwaala’ actress Priyanka Jawalkar is reprising her role in the Telugu remake.

Bankrolled by Mahesh S Koneru and Srujan Yarabolu under East Coast Productions and S Originals, the motion poster of the film showed the statue of blindfolded Justice holding scales in both hands. It comes with the caption “Assignment Vaali.”

Coming to Satyadev, he has been gradually stamping his authority as a versatile actor in Telugu cinema who can slip into any role, be it a protagonist, character artist or antagonist. Besides bagging critical acclaim, his endearing performance as Mahesh in UMUR has left a long-lasting impression in the minds of viewers and that includes celebs like Ram Charan. Recently, he was roped in as the male lead opposite Tamannaah in Gurtunda Seethakalam, the Telugu remake of the Kannada romance Love Mocktail.
