Hansal Mehta opens up on his equation with Kareena Kapoor, says it was an 'absolute joy to work with her'

After the success of the web-series Scoop, filmmaker Hansal Mehta is currently helming an untitled thriller flick with Kareena Kapoor, that will see the actor take on the role of a detective. The movie, that has been shot primarily in London, is said to be a noir drama.

Recently, in an interview with a leading entertainment portal, Mehta opened up on his lead star Kareena and said that it was an absolute joy to work with her.Calling her a 'good actor', the celebrated filmmaker said that everyone will see a 'new Kareena' in the movie. He went on to say that his equation with Bebo is similar to the one he shares with Rajkummar Rao, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub and Karishma Tannu. Earlier, in an interview with PTI, Mehta said that a romantic drama and a musical are some of the genres that he wants to explore next, but the filmmaker keeps feeling "there's very little time". Mehta, known for intense dramas such as "Shahid", "Aligarh", and "Faraaz", said he is always in search of interesting stories.
"I want to make a musical and a romantic one. The problem is there are too many stories to tell, too many genres to explore. I keep feeling that there is very little time," he said.

"For me, filmmaking is a trip, I have to find that trip. It has to give me a high. It can be anything, a comedy or a love story. I have to find that. I keep looking at different things and if something excites me, I do it. It is as simple as that," he added.
