NEW DELHI: Congress candidate Kumari Selja won from the constituency with 7,33,823 votes. She defeated BJP candidate Ashok Tanwar by a margin of 2,68,447 votes.
The voting for Haryana's Sirsa constituency took place during the sixth phase of the Lok Sabha elections on May 25. The elections saw a voter turnout of 69.77 per cent, according to the Election Commission of India.
Sirsa is one of the 10 Lok Sabha constituencies in Haryana.It covers the entire Sirsa and Fatehabad districts and part of Jind district of the state.

Kumari Selja, general secretary of Congress, has been chosen as the party's nominee for the Sirsa constituency, which is reserved for Scheduled Caste candidates. Her opponent is Ashok Tanwar from BJP.
In the 2019 elections, Sirsa witnessed a 75.97% voter turnout. BJP candidate Sunita Duggal won the 2019 General Election with a victory margin of 3,09,918 votes, securing 7,14,351 votes. Sunita Duggal defeated Ashok Tanwar of the INC, who got 4,04,433 votes.
In 2014 general elections, Charanjeet Singh Rori from Indian National Lok Dal emerged victorious by 506,370 votes while his counterpart Ashok Tanwar from INC received 3,90,634 votes.
