NEW DELHI: Chris Jordan, the returning pacer, produced a devastating spell of bowling, capturing a hat-trick and finishing with figures of 4/10 as England dismissed co-hosts USA for a meager 115 in their Super Eights T20 World Cup encounter on Sunday.
Jordan, who replaced Mark Wood in the lineup, claimed all four of his wickets in the space of five deliveries during the penultimate over, including three consecutive dismissals.

His remarkable performance of 4/10 in 2.5 overs contributed significantly to USA's collapse, as they were bowled out in just 18.5 overs.

The 35-year-old Jordan hailing from Christ Church, Barbados, had a memorable over that began with the dismissal of Corey Anderson, who was batting well on 29, with a low full toss.
The next delivery was survived by Ali Khan, but he couldn't escape for long as Jordan knocked over his offstump on the following ball.
Jordan continued his remarkable spell, dismissing Nosthush Kenjige and Saurabh Netravalkar off consecutive deliveries, achieving the first hat-trick for England in T20Is.

Sam Curran (2/13) initiated the dramatic turn of events by removing Harmeet Singh (21; 17b) on the last ball of the preceding over.
This sparked a remarkable collapse for USA, as they lost five wickets in the span of just six deliveries, failing to add any runs to their total during this period.
Prior to this, Adil Rashid had an impressive spell, conceding only 12 runs while picking up two wickets in his four-over quota.
