Professor RC Kapoor from IIA discussed Aditya L1 solar mission and PSLV's capabilities

Professor RC Kapoor from the Indian Institute of Astrophysics discussed India's first solar mission, Aditya L1, on August 29. He explained the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV), the launch vehicle for this mission, its history, and its capabilities. Dr. Kapoor highlighted that the PSLV has been a reliable workhorse for ISRO since its design inception in 1968. The PSLV has been extensively utilized for numerous ISRO launches, capable of carrying approximately 3,200 kg in low-earth orbit and around 1,400 kg in geostationary orbits, showcasing its versatility and contribution to India's space endeavours.
