In keeping with our cherished yearly tradition, we've published our Reimagining Diabetes Care Report for 2024. The insights this year are nothing short of transformative:

  • A remarkable 14% of individuals chose the Fitterfly program as their initial approach to diabetes management, even before considering medication.

  • An overwhelming 72% of healthcare professionals are now aware of and trust digital therapies for enhancing patient outcomes.

  • We've observed an astounding average reduction of 1.96 points in HbA1c levels among participants, equating to a 30% decrease in average blood sugar levels in 2023.

These findings and more are detailed in our report, which we encourage you to download and explore the significant impact we're making in diabetes care. Download Here.

This year, we also shared results from our inaugural Diabetes program pilots within corporate settings, benefiting nearly 400 employees whose health was prioritized by their employers. The outcomes are truly inspiring:

  • 88% of participants saw a reduction of 1.1 points in their HbA1c levels, mirroring the efficacy of a dual-drug therapy approach.

  • 85% of employees reported an average weight loss of 3.5 kg.

  • Dietary improvements were notable, with a 30% cut in calorie intake, a 36% reduction in carbohydrates, a 29% decrease in fats, and an 85% increase in fiber consumption.

These significant achievements led to two of our research papers being accepted for presentation at the Diabetes India Conference 2024 in Bhubaneshwar. Dr. Vineet Nair, our Chief Medical Officer, showcased how WhatsApp, an integral part of our daily lives, can be a powerful tool for managing Diabetes. Through WhatsApp-based Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support - DSMES ), interactivity and self-confidence among people with Diabetes can be significantly improved.

Fitterfly's other poster spoke about how AI can predict blood sugar improvement by making lifestyle changes and using just basic health info. This can greatly help doctors personalize diabetes treatment.

Looking ahead, Fitterfly is set to present our innovative solutions at the ATTD 2024 in Florence, Italy, in early March. We invite you to join us at Stall no 61 in the Tech Fair, where we are showcasing our AI tools. We also have two oral presentations and an e-poster, marking our global footprint in diabetes care innovation.

As we conclude this month's newsletter, we are invigorated by our ongoing collaborations with insurers, pharmaceutical companies, governments, and corporations, both within India and internationally, in pursuit of our mission to impact 1 billion lives. We are open to new partnerships and welcome discussions on how we can work together to make a difference. To explore collaboration opportunities, please reach out to us here.
