From Holistic Heart Health to Heartfelt Celebration - Fitterfly's April’24 Highlights

In India, every day, nearly 900 people lose their lives to heart attacks. The key risk factors for heart disease are well-known: diabetes, high BMI, dyslipidemia, stress, poor sleep, smoking, and alcohol consumption. The American Heart Association refers to these as the AHA 8. Our studies indicate that the majority of individuals who experience cardiac events often struggle to control these factors effectively. Despite the growing number of cardiologists, medications, and cath labs, we still lack simple, practical solutions to help those at high risk for heart disease.

Over the past year, Fitterfly has been working closely with individuals who are at risk for heart disease, and we've found that digital solutions can make a meaningful difference. The results of our initial study were remarkable:

• 6-year improvement in heart age

• 20% reduction in mortality risk

• 40% improvement in cardiac risk scores 

Encouraged by these results, we launched the Fitterfly FitHeart program on April 7th, 2024. This launch received positive coverage from premier publications like The Week and Business Standard. 

FitHeart's journey starts with a Heart Health Calculator, a quick tool that takes just 2 minutes to assess one's heart health. Thousands have used it to check their risk factors, and you can do the same. We're excited about the potential to help millions of people across India who are struggling with heart disease.

A startup is, at its core, a group of passionate individuals who want to make a difference and challenge the status quo. For the past 8 years, the Fitterfly team has stood together through challenges, grown together, and made a significant impact on millions of lives. This year, 200 of us gathered for our annual offsite event, RISE 2024, in Navi Mumbai. The energy and camaraderie were palpable, and our collective drive to make a difference was clear. The day began with a leadership conclave, followed by team-building activities, and ended with dinner and a party. It was heartwarming to see our remotely working colleagues reconnecting with each other in person.

Finally, we take pride in the clinical outcomes and impact we create for thousands each month. The heartfelt reviews from our members reflect this. Our coaches work tirelessly, and our operations and tech teams ensure everything runs smoothly, creating a positive customer experience. Supported by the learning & development, growth, finance, and admin teams, we're able to innovate and provide sustainable outcomes for our members.
