Acadian Asset Management, founded in 1986, is a privately held global investment management company headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts. The company specializes in "active global and international equity strategies, active equity, low volatility, multi-asset investment, ESG, and Responsible Investing," according to its LinkedIn profile.[1][2]
Among other investment priorities, Acadian contracts with multiple state pension funds as an asset management company (AMC). In this role, Acadian manages the investment strategy for its contracted state pension plans. As a member of the Net Zero Asset Manager Initiative, Acadian is "committed to supporting the goal of net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 or sooner, according to the Net Zero website.

Investment policies
Acadian Asset Management's investment strategies "manage both equity strategies intended to deliver active returns and alternative strategies designed to deliver absolute, uncorrelated returns," according to the organization's website. The firm's "sustainable investing capabilities are integrated throughout all strategies and provide a platform for both client-specific solutions and innovative engagement."[4]
The firm integrates environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) across its investment strategies. "ESG is a lens we can apply across any of our strategies, with the foundational belief that responsible investing is a core component of traditional investing, as well-governed, sustainable businesses have the potential to generate strong results over time," states the firm's website.[4]
