Andrew M. Fleischmann
Andrew M. Fleischmann is a former Democratic member of the Connecticut House of Representatives, representing District 18 from 1995 to 2019.
Biography
Fleischmann served as chief operating officer of SpeedReading People. He has previously been a policy and programs executive assistant in the State Comptroller's Office, a communications and strategic planning consultant, and a freelance writer.
Fleischmann served as comptroller's liaison to the State Health Care Cost Containment Committee from 1991-1993, and on the Task Force on Statewide Group Health Insurances from 1991-1992.[1]

The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 10, 2014. Incumbent Andrew M. Fleischmann was unopposed in the Democratic primary and was unchallenged in the general election.[3][4]

On November 4, 2008, Fleischmann won re-election to the Connecticut House of Representatives from Connecticut's 18th District, defeating Thomas Knox (R). Fleischmann received 8,088 votes in the election while Knox received 2,938 votes.[9] Fleischmann raised $30,089 for his campaign; Knox raised $30,489.[10]
