Brenda Gilmore (Democratic Party) was a member of the Tennessee State Senate, representing District 19. She assumed office on November 6, 2018. She left office on November 8, 2022.

Gilmore (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Tennessee State Senate to represent District 19. She did not appear on the ballot for the Democratic primary on August 4, 2022.

Gilmore is a former Democratic member of the Tennessee House of Representatives, representing District 54 from 2006 to 2018.

Biography

Gilmore earned her B.S. in business from Tennessee State University in 1984. She then received her M.A. in human resource development from Vanderbilt University in 1988. Gilmore is a graduate of the Tennessee Government Executive Institute. She previously worked as director of Vanderbilt University. Gilmore served on the Metro Council for the City of Nashville from 1999 to 2003.
