I am a former associate judge for the 310th District Court. I have practiced from the JP to the Texas Supreme Court. Most of my 25 plus years in the profession have been in the civil courts. I am dedicated to the rule of law and equal protection for all.

I have been married for 20 years and the father of a young lady that turn 18 in September 2020.

I am committed to treating each person that appears before me as a unique individual, equal to all others. I will treat each person with dignity and respect and fairly administer justice and apply the law, without creating new law. I will efficiently operate my court so that I do not waste the time and efforts of those appearing before me. My experience has prepared me to perform these obligations under the personal and professional demands the job places on the judge.

The very first job I had was throwing newspapers for the Houston Chronicle. My friend and I combined our efforts. We were able to run three routes as a team instead of one each. We kept the job for about two years. When my family moved across town, we had to dissolve our operations. I learned teamwork, taxes, time management, personal responsibility, and a lot more. It was satisfying telling my Dad I would not need lunch money for the week, because I had just received my pay.
Later in life, I met and became close friends with Phil Warner, who was the Editor and Chief of the paper back then.

The National Anthem - I like baseball - what can I say?
