Campaign themes

2016

Ramos' campaign website highlighted the following issues:

"
  • We need to put a stop to "Pay-to-Play". This practice is destroying small businesses and discouraging entrepreneurship.
  • We need to recognize that political correctness is bullshit and preventing our politicians from saying things the way they should be said.
  • Many of us have thought about it. Career politicians must go. We must refresh government with people we know and trust.
  • I will promote the contracting of small local businesses. How local? First, we should consider those within a mile from the proposed project. If the skills can not be obtained from within the said zone; then and only then we should consider moving to a larger radius.
  • I will promote safer streets by getting tougher on thugs, repeat offenders, and career criminals. Hell, I will go as far as suggesting we bring back the penal colonies.
  • I will promote self-defense by easing gun restrictions. Not only will this deter criminals from preying on the average person it will also equalize the fight against a strong perpetrator.[5]
