The District-level system change, or DLSC initiative is a program developed by the Nellie Mae Education Foundation designed to promote their philosophy of education reform. Their primary goal is to move education towards student-centered learning practices. The DLSC program encourages schools to adopt student-centered practices by offering grants and other support. As the name suggests, all changes that occur under this program happen on the district level. Other changes, such as those in the state legislature, that occur due to any assistance from the Nellie Mae Foundation would be due to one or more of their other programs.[1][2]
