Howard C. Bratton (1922-2002) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of New Mexico.

Bratton was nominated by President Lyndon Johnson on March 3, 1964, to a seat vacated by Waldo Rogers; he was confirmed by the Senate on March 14, 1964, and received commission three days later. He served as chief judge from 1978 until he assumed senior status on February 4, 1987. He served until his death on May 5, 2002.[1] Bratton was succeeded in this position by James A. Parker.
