Joseph P. Hettel is a judge of the Illinois 3rd District Appellate Court. He assumed office on July 1, 2022. His current term ends on December 2, 2024.

Hettel (Democratic Party) ran for re-election for judge of the Illinois 3rd District Appellate Court. He lost in the Democratic primary on March 19, 2024.

The Illinois Supreme Court appointed Hettel to the Illinois Third District Appellate Court on May 10, 2022, to replace Tom Lytton.[1]

Hettel was retained to the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit Court with 77.7% of the vote on November 4, 2014.[3] 

Evaluations
