Vivian King (Democratic Party) is running for election for judge of the Texas 486th District Court. She is on the ballot in the general election on November 5, 2024. She advanced from the Democratic primary runoff on May 28, 2024.

Bildung

King received her undergraduate degree from the University of Houston in 1980. She earned her J.D. from Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 1992.[1]

Career

Before she became a lawyer, King worked for JPMorgan Chase as an internal operator and operations specialist. She was an Assistant District Attorney in Harris County from 1992 to 1995, and then went into private practice. King also worked as an adjunct professor at Texas Southern University Law School from 1998 to 2005.[1]
